I’m a recovering “AVOID-AHOLIC”.  I used to make every excuse, spin the truth, stay stuck, battle  with stress, anxiety, overthinking, over-drinking, overeating, and a 

 

 

  • I used to over drink… “It’s always happy hour somewhere”

  • I was 60 pounds overweight

  • I was the girl who wore sweatshirts around my waist, (to hide my butt)

  • Sit in front of the TV with a glass of wine and mindlessly eat pretzels and cream cheese with cookies dipped in peanut butter, )

  • I would join a gym workout on the treadmill once, telling myself that I worked out all week.

  • Used food, alcohol, to numb my feelings

  • I have ADHD and grew up with learning disabilities/dyslexia

If you don't grab a hold of your thoughts and emotional triggers and learn how to self-regulate feelings, you will continue to be governed by your emotional state, because your emotional self will always supersede the intellect, this is a FACT.

 

And because of  this you inevitably will revert back to our old ways and behaviors repeating patterns.
